Si Jesus Del Rosario ay ang middle child ng Del Rosario family, anak ni Maria at Josef, big brother ni JP. Ang Del Rosario family ay isang pamilya ng lima na may takot sa diyos at laging nagsisimba. Isang masunuring at makadiyos na bata si Jesus na laging pinapangaralan at pinapabuti ng kanyang magulang para hindi sya matulad sa kanilang panganay na si Jude Mari, na biglaan nalang nawala sa kanilang silid, hindi sinasabi ng kanyang mga magulang kung bakit, kaya kailangan ni Jesus maging responsable.

Pagkatpos ng isang away ng kanilang magulang na biglaang nauwi sa basagan at sakitan sa harap ng kainan, naiwan sila ng kanyang kapatid at habang naglilinis si Jesus ay dinaan ng isang pamilyar na dayuhan na para bang naligaw at biglaan ding umalis. Tumindig ang kanyang puso sa tunog ng sapatos ng mama.

Every aspect of Filipino life is intertwined with religion in some way, we have always been deeply faithful and even our family structure relies on that faith, but too much is always bad, what happens when we use our faith and religion to justify our wrongdoings and what happens when it is used against us, to restrain and oppress? When religion feels less like admiration and hope and more like prison. There are many studies that show the contribution that religion can bring to abusive and toxic household dynamics but rarely is it ever touched upon in our country or media, It is rarely ever criticized and when it is its seen as blasphemous rather than commentary on what is true.

As such why not portay the perfect ideal christian household, family of five, faithful and god fearing, portraying the family through the lens of the Del Rosario family’s their 12 year old son whose reality seems to shift in between his child like innocence and genuine devotion to God and his family vs. his traumatizing family life with his over zealous parents who cant seem to stand each other but refuse to seperate because of their beliefs.
